Providence Yahweh Investments was founded in 2015 by local philanthropist Michael Oliver. Originally from the historic Southside of Fort Worth, as a youth Michael and his family moved to Washington State where he resided for over 20 years. Seeking a new start, in June 2014, Michael decided to return to the Fort Worth area to help care for his elderly grandmother and continue his career in the field of community/social service. Upon returning, Michael worked as an assistant supervisor for an academic afterschool program at Morningside Elementary where he spent time developing positive relationships with the youth who he served in the program. An entrepreneur by nature, and having started several businesses in Washington State prior to his relocation; Michael made the commitment to follow his long time passion and establish a real estate investment company in March 2015. With little financial resources and mentorship, Michael sought the need to develop a network of local experts to partner with in the vision of a revitalized DFW.
Possessing over 7 years of experience in the social services field, the vision of Providence Yahweh is to reestablish the marginalized and impoverished communities in the DFW area. Through empowering the individuals those communities serve, the firm will be a recognizable resource within the community. Emphasizing financial education, the mission is to target the perception of urban communities by enhancing the way of life for the people; thus turning renters to owners.
“Through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, determination, purpose and patience, my goal is for Providence Yahweh Investments to be a vehicle to move mountains in my community…” – Michael Oliver
The mission of Providence Yahweh is: “Changing the community by including the community in the process…”
Blessings,
